Good afternoon MCE Families!
I know we are all learning a "new normal" for the time being, and we are here for you. I am going to link several resources to this note so you may access them when needed in the future.
The message I want you hear most is - there is no "right " way to educate your child from home. YOU must determine what works best with your children and your daily schedule. The most important thing is to enjoy your time together. I encourage you to find ways to learn through play and normal daily activities. We are going to provide resources, and we want our students to continue to learn. This can look different in each home. If you must choose one thing to do, please read with your children and have them read independently.
We are going to be connecting with you and your students the best we can. Please follow our MCE Facebook page, and your grade level pages. I will send messages to you through School Messenger, too. We plan to set up some face to face time for students and their teachers to visit through an app called Zoom. It is free and can be downloaded on your phone, tablet and/or computers. This will allow students to talk with each other and their teacher all at the same time. Be looking for a link to join your child's class next week.
In order to receive the School Messenger text messages from school, you must opt in. To do this, text Y or yes to 67587.
Teachers and staff will be at MCE on Tuesday. If you need to pick up your child's belongings or medications that were in the nurse's office, please call to schedule a time to pick them up between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. You cannot enter the building, so we will have someone bring them outside to you.
Submit pictures of what you are doing!
Mrs. Davis will continue to monitor this program and add pictures as they come in.
