Assistance Available



Holy Spirit Catholic Church has donated new and gently used coats to Great Beginnings students and Parents as Teachers participants (Sizes 2T-5).

Please contact the school social workers, Jill Smith (986-2483) or Mary Beth Panek (986-2466) if you need assistance obtaining a coat for your child.

Inclement Weather Information

Please remember, if Lee's Summit Public Schools is closed for weather related reasons, then you will need to communicate with your Parent Educator concerning your visit that day. If the roads are hazardous, most likely your visit will need to be rescheduled.


Please be sure to leave your light on for your pe as well!

Conscious Discipline

By now I'm sure you've heard your parent educator discuss Conscious Discipline with you. (If not, please ask her about it!) The following is a link for information on "The Power of Attention".

Classes close to home

The following link is to St. Luke's classes. There are several FREE classes offered for breastfeeding and CLICS car seat safety. Check out their website!

Success by Six


Success By 6 (SB6) is available free of charge and is equipped with child-friendly educational toys and books for children ages birth to 6 years old. Parenting materials are also available for check-out.

Borrowing Policy

Each family and childcare provider may borrow four items for up to a two week period. In addition to the four items, a bag of books and a parent resource may also be checked out.

Fees

There are no fees at SB6. If you are not able to return or have damaged a toy, we ask that you give a donation of either:

  • Cash
  • New toy
  • Used toy in great condition
  • New hard cover or board book


Missing Pieces

If you are missing pieces to a toy or game, you are encouraged to return it anyway. If you locate the missing pieces, please return them as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to inform the staff that pieces are missing. We advise you to count all the pieces upon borrowing the toy or game, so you are aware of any missing items.
