Happy Friday!
Who would have thought we would have 50 degree temps in December? Hopefully, everyone is enjoying the warmer weather. Rice Lake students gave a warm welcome to some Centennial Football players this week. We had a little parade to celebrate the players for their big state win! Check out the pictures below.
Coming up this next week we want to make sure parents are aware of our PTO Fundraiser at Chipotle and our upcoming lockdown drill and our Hat and Mitten Tree. See more detailed information below.

Safety Response Protocol Drill
Rice Lake Elementary will practice the Safety Response Protocol, LOCKDOWN net week. It will be announced as a drill and will be a very limited interruption to the day. Additional safety information, including information on the protocols and guidance for families, can be found on the Centennial website.

The Hat and Mitten Tree is up and ready for donations!
Please share new hats, mittens and jackets for those children in our community whose families are in need of a little help. We need boys and girls sizes infant to 18.
Rice Lake will collect items through December 15th.

Rice Lake PTO-Chipotle Fundraiser Next Week!
Next Wednesday plan to pick up dinner at Chipotle in Blaine to help raise money for Rice Lake.
33% of the event sales will get donated to the school.

Yearbook Order Time!
Yearbooks are available for the 23-24 school year!
You can order yearbooks through Lifetouch and the cost is $20.
To order your yearbook click on the link below and fill out your student's information.
If you have pictures of your student in their extracurricular activities you can submit them for the yearbook. Just email non-professional pictures to yearbookrle@gmail.com. Please include the names of the Rice Lake students in the pictures. You can also submit any photos you have of school events.

Kindergarten Registration is Open!
Welcome, Class of 2037! Mark your calendar: Kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens online on December 1. We look forward to having your student and family become a part of the Centennial community. See the Centennial website for information on registration and screening, frequently asked questions, important dates to note, and student readiness. Check out the website, too, for a sneak peek into kindergarten through a series of short, fun videos filmed in our schools as well as resources, from before and after school care and busing to school meals and health and student services. • Substitute Teachers (To qualify, you must have bachelor’s degree with MN Teaching or Substitute License; you can obtain a Short Call License if you have a bachelor’s degree.)
• Substitute Paraprofessionals (To qualify, you must have a HS Diploma/GED.)
