Spelling Words
Next week's spelling words are:
for, fork, short, storm, north, August, pause, because, launch, sauce, want, said, what, have, went
You can practice these words at SpellingCity.com:
https://www.spellingcity.com/view-spelling-list.html?listId=33098644
Our spelling test will be on Friday, April 15th.
This will be our last spelling assessment. I will continue to look in students' everyday writing to see how they are transferring the phonics skills we have covered over the year and if they are using it in their journals, etc. We will also continue to have spelling and dictation tests on Friday.
Student Treasure Book Order Forms
Last chance on Student Treasures books. If you have not returned a form indicating yes or no on a purchase, I have sent one home again with your student. I did have one returned at the concert last night, but was unsure who left it, so you might see another one in your child's notebook. No purchase is necessary, but we must have all slips returned to receive a free book for our classroom library. Thank you for your help!
100 Book Club
A few more students have worked their way into the 100+ Book Club this week! Yay! Some students who are just reading the four books necessary to get to "Fun Friday" activities may need to read more than just four each week to make it to 100 books by the end of April. If your son/daughter has a long way to go, encourage them to read more than just four. If your child is reading books as part of Reading Improvement groups, have them log those books down on their book log!
