Lin Howe Book Fair- November 16-29
Hi Linwood Howe families!
It's time for the fall book fair. Like so much else in our lives, it will be ONLINE this fall. This is a great time to stock up for holiday gifts. Less screen time, more reading time!
25% of the order goes back to the library for MORE BOOKS for ALL the students.
You can order from November 16-29. Pickup will be coordinated in early December at the school.

Read a book to a class
Hi Lin Howe families! We are looking for volunteers to read books in the classroom again!
Next week, volunteers will read culturally responsive books about Thanksgiving during the classroom Zooms. This is a great way to connect with your child's class and support an inclusive approach to Thanksgiving. All reading times will be during synchronous school time.
You will read a book for 10-15 mins and then lead a short discussion.
Click on the signup link below, and be sure to include your name and email address so we can contact you with details!

Video Message from Nurse Amy
We are beginning to have a few small groups on campus. We don’t know when more of our students will be back to school, but we want to make sure all students have a good idea of what to expect when they return. Our district nurses have created a video for students to learn how school might be a little different. It’s good information for parents too, so we recommend you take a few minutes to watch the video with your child.

CCUSD- Walk Across America Challenge
Good news: Lin Howe is making good progress in the Walk Across America Challenge with 180 miles!
Bad News: Even though there are 21 students registered, only 5 are actually tracking their miles. (imagine how great it would be if all 21 kids tracked their steps - imagine if 40 kids signed up)
Great news Vikings… our school is off to a good start in the Walk Across America Challenge with 180 miles! We only have 5 students doing all the work though and since teamwork is our goal, let’s work together and show that Viking Pride! Registration is easy and we just need you to walk 5 blocks (1/2 mile) each week so we can get to Washington D.C. first. Sign up today on the Culver City Walk & Rollers website and let’s get walking and rolling together!
