Let's Get Ready for Catholic Schools Week!

Catholic Schools Week 2022 1

Byzantine Empire in 6th Grade

In Social Studies, Sixth Graders study the Byzantine Empire and the Catholic-Orthodox split that occurred at that time. This could be a bit of a bore for these students, but, not at St. Damian. Mr. V took the children to a beautiful Byzantine Catholic church in Homer Glen that is hand painted by their priest. What an amazing experience that is also a cross curricular unit with religion.
