FIRST Robotics visit Toyota
The Washington Hatchets Robotics team under the leadership of Mr. Matt Riney, Mrs. Jennifer Peachee, and Mrs. Mandy Hannah traveled to Toyota Thursday to present their robot design plan, meet and collaborate with area schools, as well as tour the facility. The team did a fantastic job presenting their accomplishments to their sponsor. Brandon Velasquez and Brayden Garland spoke on behalf of their team to the committee and Joe Bedwell was interviewed by channel 25 news.

Sixth graders in Mrs. Kluesner's class at Lena Dunn, with the help of school social worker Mrs. Newkirk, are learning about how to apply for a job, write a cover letter, fill out a job application and how to address an envelope. Preparing students for their next steps in life as they pursue their education and their career.
Read Across America Night at Griffith Elementary
A great time was had by all at Griffith Elementary's Read Across America Night. Every year on Dr. Seuss's birthday, schools across the country honor him by celebrating reading! High School students from the Girls Basketball team, Dance Team and Boys Baseball team read books with students. There was Dr. Seuss themed snacks, crafts, face painting, a photo booth, and even a visit from The Cat in the Hat and the Lorax!

Vulcans of Veale Robotics Team Competes at Lucas Oil Stadium
The Veale robotics team competed at Lucas Oil Stadium. Over 200 elementary teams from across Indiana were present. Our division consisted of 67 teams and we finished in 55th.
ILearn
The ILearn test for students in grades 3-8, Biology, and U.S. Government will take place in late April into May. Look for more information from your child's school for the exact dates. To learn more, use the link below to the ILearn for Families portal for resources to help your child do his or her best on the ILearn test!
Student Athlete Physicals
The CORE Center is offering Sports Physicals for any student wishing to play school sports next school year. 5-7 pm all dates, $20 per athlete. All proceeds are donated back to the school.
