Wagner Elementary School

May 2022 Newsletter

Happy May everyone! As I sit here typing this message, I can’t help but wonder where our school year went. Only two months of school left.

It is great to see the snow finally melting away. I hope your child has good spring boots to wear. Although our maintenance people are going a great job at getting the water and mud away, I am sure our students will find some to play in! It may help to send an extra pair of pants and socks to school. We do have a washer and dryer that we can clean clothes right here at school.

It is very important for me to remind everyone that we are all very open to provide any information that is requested regarding your child’s education. Please do not wait for calls, notes, or Edsby messages. If you have a concern or want to check on your child’s progress, you can always call us at the school.

I would also like to thank the Nipawin Detachment of the RCMP for increasing their patrols around our school. In early spring, we had noticed that vehicles were speeding by our school and we were all very worried about the safety of our students. Although we teach them to be safe when around streets, I couldn’t help but be scared with the speeding travel. Please slow down around our school and keep our kids safe!

Thanks to parents and family members for supporting our World Book Day and the many spirit days at Wagner. It was good to see so much excitement from the children about reading and school spirit! Please remember that if you have any concerns or questions, please contact the school immediately so your concerns can be addressed.

Have a great May!
