We encourage, support, and maintain powerful, engaged, life-long learning through innovative techniques and strive to cultivate active responsible citizens.

This school year started off like no other school year! Even though it looks and feels very different, your Stevenson Counseling Department is still here to support you. Our commitment to students has not changed! We are still here to support their social, emotional, and academic needs. Magnet School Application
Are you or your student interested in attending one of NISD’s magnet schools in 2021-2022 school year? Now is the time to apply. For more information about Northside Independent School District’s magnet school programs, please click on the link: Magnet Schools Offer Choices for NISD Students or contact your Stevenson counselor. Magnet school application deadline is January 18th!
It’s that time of the year to complete planning guides (aka course cards)
December 10th through January 18th -
Rising 6th graders will be completing their 2021-2022 planning guide at their perspective elementary school. Please visit with an elementary counselor for more information.
January 11th - 22nd -
Rising 7th/8th graders will be completing their 2021-2022 planning guides through guidance lessons provided by the counselors. Once students complete and submit, they will get a copy sent to their school email for parent to review.
HS visitation & HS Planning Guides
Counselors from O’Connor and Marshall High Schools will be virtually visiting our 8th-grade students on Thursday, January 21, 2021, to discuss and complete planning guides for their freshmen school year.
O'Connor HS Open House -
O'Connor will host a virtual parent meeting on January 21, 2021. Please check your child's Schoology page for a Zoom link and time or visit https://www.nisd.net/oconnor for the most updated details.
Marshall HS Open House -

Counselors Connecting with Parents
Feb. 9 at 5:30-6:30 - Parent Night
The counseling department will be hosting a virtual parent night to explain the planning guide and all the courses Stevenson has to offer for rising 7th graders and 8th graders. Please join us!

Self Care Vision Board- The goal of Self Care Vision Board is to increase self compassion and generate positivity in the self. Please join us virtually on the first Monday of the month from 8:00-8:20 am to learn and to come up with different self-care activities that match your lifestyle. Open to all students.
