Black Walnut Harvest FFA Competition!

Congratulations to our Blair Oaks FFA Chapter for winning 1st Place in the Second Annual Black Walnut Harvest FFA Competition! There were 56 chapters that participated in the competition. Out of those, 11 chapters harvested 5,000 pounds or more and 5 chapters harvested 10,000 pounds or more.

Blair Oaks FFA collected 68,164 pounds of walnuts and won the $3,100 prize money!

We're really excited for our next competition in 2018!

CPR and Heimlich Maneuver

All students will be trained in hands-only CPR and the Heimlich maneuver before they graduate from high school as mandated by the law signed by Governor Nixon in June of 2016. Above are pictures of some of our Blair Oaks students who have already started this training.

Clothing Construction Class

Tyler Gish finished a special project in Mrs. Cumpton's Clothing Construction Class. He designed and constructed a special blanket which will be a Christmas gift for a family member in the military. Good job, Tyler!

Tri-County Conference Tournament

The 3rd Annual Tri-County Conference Basketball Tournament will be held December 30th and January 2nd, 4th and 5th, at School of the Osage. Blair Oaks' first game is Saturday, Dec. 30th, at 4:00pm against California. Celebrate the new year by cheering for our basketball players!
