World Read Aloud Day

Sprague students and teachers grabbed their favorite books and read to one another on World Read Aloud Day Wednesday, Feb. 5. LitWorld founded World Read Aloud Day in 2010 as an opportunity for people all around the globe to celebrate the joy of reading aloud, and advocate for literacy. Teachers honored this day by reading to students and students took time to read to one another. Please visit the school's Facebook page for pictures of the school's activities on this day.

No School for Early Childhood Monday

There is no school for early childhood children on Monday, Feb. 10. This day is reserved for preschool screenings and all early childhood staff participates.

Family Day with the Chicago Wolves

Join the Learning Fund Foundation at a Chicago Wolves game on Sunday, Feb. 23 to help support District 103 students and teachers! The Learning Fund Foundation Family Fun Day is held at the Allstate Arena. Please purchase your tickets using the Foundation Family Day link.

Spirit Wear Sale Ends Sunday

The second Spirit Wear sale of the school year ends Sunday, Feb 9. There are lots of trendy shirts, hoodies and lounge pants on the spirit wear website.

Summer Camp Registration

Would you like your child to attend Camp 103 Club following D103's summer school program? Let the Camp 103 Club staff know you are interested in having your children attend the program this summer. Fill out the camp interest form today. Camp will run from June 8 to June 30. There are two options, Early Explorers starts at 10:15 a.m. or Afternoon Adventurers starts at 12:05 p.m. Camp will end at 6:00 p.m. Your child must be registered in District 103 Summer School to attend Camp 103 Club.

Lost and Found

Please take some time to visit the lost and found at Sprague during parent-teacher conferences. There are many items that are looking to be claimed. If you find your child brings an item home that might not be theirs, please send the item back to Sprague so that we can find the rightful owner. Thank you for your support.

Stressed Out Children

Family Book Club

Lailah's Lunchbox: This is a moving story of Lailah in a new school in a new country, thousands of miles from her old home, and missing her old friends. When Ramadan begins, she is excited that she is finally old enough to participate in the fasting but worried that her classmates won’t understand why she doesn’t join them in the lunchroom.
