Vol. 8 , Issue 1; September 4, 2020
Welcome Back!!!! 2020-21 will be a GREAT year!
School Closing Schedule
Friday, September 25th- Half Day for Students
Monday, October 12th- Columbus Day
Masks (no neck gators or bandanas) are Required at All Times.
Masks must be worn while at school by all students, teachers, and staff. The Essex County Health Department recently put out a statement that says bandanas and neck gators are not adequate face coverings. Students will be given three reusable masks at the beginning of the year. The CDC recommends masks be washed daily.
Morning Health Screenings for All Students
Temperatures for each student will be taken each morning before they enter the building. Students being dropped off at the ramp will be screened before getting out of their cars. Students who walk to school will enter through the cafeteria doors for screening and students who ride the bus will enter through the gym after being screened. If any student has a temperature that is over 100F, they will receive further screening by Nurse Cora. Parents are asked to please screen their children before they come to school and to keep them home if they are sick.
A New Morning Routine
Walkers will enter through the front (oval side) cafeteria door. Drop off students will enter through the ramp and bus students will enter through the gym ramp doors. Grab and Go breakfast options will be available at each entrance. All students should proceed directly to their first-period classrooms as soon as they enter the building.
