Nat "King" Cole was first trained in music from his mother, Perlina Coles. At the age of 12 Nat "King " Cole was already playing the church Organ. Later at the age of 14 Nat "King" Cole started a 14 piece band call the Royal Dukes. With this he inspired many young musicians.

Nat "King" Cole was born on March 17, 1919 in Montgomery, Alabama. Nat "King" Cole grew up with four other siblings, three brothers and one sister. Ike, Eddie, Freddie, and Evelyn Cole are are his siblings and his mother and father are Perlina and Edward Cole. Nat "King" Cole later met his wife Maria Cole in 1948 and later married Maria in 1948. Nat "King" Cole inspired many African American men and women to strive for what they want, by creating his own TV show in the 1950s without any sponsors, just the notice of NBC. Nat "King" Cole died February 15, 1965 in Santa Monica, California due to lung cancer.

Music
Music was huge to Nat "King" Cole being trained by his mother at an early age, to playing the Church Organ at the age of twelve, to starting a fourteen piece band at fourteen years old. Nat "King" Cole wrote many songs such as "Sweet Lorraine", Ramblin' Rose" in 1962, "Too Young" in 1951, "Mona Lisa" in 1949, and Mel Torme's "Christmas Song." Nat "King" Cole was awarded 28 gold record awards for his outstanding music.
Motivation
Nat "King" Cole motivated many men and women to start as young musicians, to stand for what they want for such as themselves, and motivated young African American men and women to do what whites tried preventing them from doing, such as staring a TV show as an African American. Nat "King" Cole inspired.
