Hawk Highlights
One School, One Family, One Timberview
Principal's Point 8/24/20
Dear Timberview Families,
The first day of school is nearly upon us! We have a lot of information in this newsletter about the first days of school and what they will look like. During the 3 half days, we will be teaching our students a lot of processes. Those schedules are detailed below. Additionally, sack lunches will be available to purchase, but students will be eating them at home. So, if you normally bring a lunch, don't worry about it on half days!
For our remote learners, students will follow their schedule and access their classes via the backpack in KCloud. We have also created a space on our website for remote help. We will continue to update this space as the year progresses. https://www.kellerisd.net/site/Default.aspx?PageID=6828
We are starting to get a few emails with families that are wanting to change their request for in person or remote instruction. Due to the lateness of these requests, we will not be able to fulfill them at this time. Please make sure that if you chose remote, you prepare for remote learning and if you chose in person, we will see you in the building on Wednesday. After we have been able to address schedule conflicts and issues, we will begin looking at those requests. Ultimately, the instructional choice that our families made was for at least 9 weeks of school. We need your help in sticking with that choice.
Thank you for all of your support, and be sure to read everything below as there is a lot of good information!

Before First Day Check Lists
Face Masks Protocol
All students, visitors, and school employees must wear face masks on campus and while riding school buses. Please view these documents for information on what types of face masks are recommended, not recommended and prohibited. If a student wears a not recommended or prohibited face mask to school, we will provide them with one that is more suitable.
Arrival & Dismissal Map
School Start/End Times Changed
Our building will open its doors at 8:15AM and classes will start at 8:30AM. Students are to enter the building and go directly to their first period unless they need breakfast.
Our end of day staggered release will begin at 3:45PM with the goal of having all students out of the building by 4PM.
Students may remain on campus past dismissal for participation in Fine Arts or a UIL event only.
Please help us by refraining from dropping off your student prior to 8:15AM and please pick them up promptly after school. This will help us make sure that students are socially distant.
We have partnered with Clayton Youth Enrichment program to support our students who may have to be dropped off early or picked up late. This is an affordable option for families and we are thankful for their help. Please click on the link above for more information on Clayton.

School Day Safety Processes
The student screener needs to be filled out daily by the guardian. https://youtu.be/fcr2gJiJYoA
We have created a series of one-pagers to briefly highlight our processes for arrival/dismissal, breakfast/lunch, and campus safety measures. We will work with our teachers to develop detailed processes for each of the items that these documents discuss.
