Message from Mrs.Tremps
Dear Brandywine Families:
As we wrap up an amazing 2022-2023 school year, I want to share how proud I am to be part of the Badger Tribe! I feel so blessed to be wrapping up my first year as principal and celebrating the hard work of our students and staff. We have accomplished so much and none of it would have been possible without your partnership.
In reflecting on the school year, we enjoyed so many wonderful traditions as well as creating new ones. We strengthened our community and parent partnerships. Coffee Cart Ladies, Read-A-Thon, Principal Pals, Surprises and Delights, Coffee and Conversations, Watch D.O.G.S., Badger Moms, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter, SPARK, Holiday Bazaar, Reindeer Lane, Heritage Night, and DLI Showcase and Step-Up Night were some incredible ways we engaged with families.
Our theme this year was, “On Our Way”. Our Badger Tribe was on its way back to normal operations. We were on our way to cultivating strong relationships and student success! Some of our celebrations for students this year have been: 5th Grade Houses, Peer Buddies, PBIS, Pi Fight students ranking in the math competition sponsored by Ms. Shin, Chess Club members won first place in the K-5 Georgia State Chess Championship, Girls On The Run training and running their first 5K race, mindfulness expanded to daily practice in 6 classrooms, and our Oratorical and Spelling Bee representing Brandywine at the county level!
Looking ahead to 2023-2024, we are projected to have 1,237 students. We anticipate 49 homerooms and 9 specialized instruction classrooms (including 3 special needs pre-k classes).
This summer, I hope you can enjoy some fun, rest, and relaxation. Also, please find in this edition, many opportunities to engage your family in activities locally and keep your children learning over the summer. Our Summer Office Hours are: Monday-Thursday 9-11:30am and 1-3pm. The building will be closed June 26th – July 7th.
