JME Needs a Representative for the LCAP Committee
We need your input! MUSD is developing our LCAP Goals. JME is seeking a parent to help guide this important work. Meetings will be held at the District Office 2/26, 3/25, 4/15, 4/29 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Your consideration to join this committee is greatly appreciated.
What is LCAP?
It stands for the Local Control and Accountability Plan. These plans represent a big change in how California manages its school finances. ... The LCAP is designed to provide school districts and their communities with more local control and make it easier to respond to the needs of their students.
LCAP Survey
We need your input! District's are required to develop a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) that aligns with their annual budget in collaboration with all stakeholders. The LCAP is aligned with the District's budget and will guide the district's spending related to the state and local board priorities. The current goals in the District's LCAP are:
Teaching and Learning - All students will progress towards college and career readiness as a result of high quality standards-aligned instruction.
Safe and Supportive Schools - All students will have a safe and supportive school culture and learning environment.
Sound Fiscal Management - MUSD will use efficient operations and sound fiscal management practices to ensure we are good stewards of public resources.
As we review the LCAP, your input assists us in providing our students with an excellent education. Thank you for taking a moment to complete this important survey!

3/21/2020 at The Cobra Experience in Martinez
The ROARING 20s JME GALA is our school’s annual auction, where parents to get together and have some adult fun while supporting JME. Join us for a night of music, dancing, dinner, drinks, and a silent and live auction! This is also your chance to go home with your child’s classroom art project, perhaps the most exciting part of the auction! Flappers and fellas, get dolled up and join us, it’ll be the bee’s knees! Ticket sales coming soon!
Class Auction Projects – Volunteers Needed!
In February, each classroom will create a student-made art project as well as an auction basket. These items are some of our biggest sellers in the Live Auction and help raise a lot of funds for our school. We need parents to volunteer in class to help create the art project, and help put together your class auction basket. If you can volunteer, please email or text Jen Lara, Classroom Auction Project Coordinator, at jrudeen@hotmail.com or 925-323-7483. See attached flyer!
Donations Needed!
Do you own a business, have a special connection with a local venue, or do you create unique items people would bid on? Would you like to host an event in your home that parents could donate to attend? Do you own a vacation home that you’d like to donate a stay at? If so, please consider donating to our auction! Gift certificates, children’s items, jewelry, new household products, the list is endless. Email jmepta@gmail.com if you’d like to contribute an auction item! Thank you!
