Week of December 8, 2014

What do I do at home?

Read EVERY night. Find a good book and READ, READ, READ!! You should read for at least 15-20 minutes every day. Make sure you are not reading something that is too easy or too hard. If you need books, let Ms. Damschroder know.

Practice memorizing multiplication and division math facts. if you need flash cards, let Ms. Damschroder know.

LIFT-OFF--Students going to LIFT-OFF will need a note on Dec. 11, 2014!!!

Many students from my class have been attending the Lift-Off Program at the Presbyterian Church. The next session runs from Dec. 4th-Dec. 18th on Thursdays. If you signed a permission slip for your child to attend, I will also need a note or something written in their agenda so I know they will be attending. Some parents have already written notes in the agenda for each week and that is wonderful. You can also send in a note with your child on the day of Lift-Off if that is easier for you. Thank you for your cooperation!

Christmas Party--Note to Parents

I will send a note home soon for items for our Christmas party. Also, for your planning purposes, we will not have a traditional gift exchange, but we will have a "stocking stuffer" party. Students will be asked to bring one small item to school for each student on or before December 19th. Small items will be new and unwrapped. Items could include: pencils, a piece of wrapped candy, an eraser, a sticker, a small inexpensive toy (like something you could find at the dollar stores in the party section) etc. Please do not spend a lot of money. If you need help with this, let me know. I will also send a note home about the party later this week.
