Elementary Update for April 2021

Recess will take place outdoors and classes will rotate station areas and alter times so adequate distancing may occur. Students will remain in their homeroom cohort for recess for contact tracing purposes.
Supply Reminders
Please note that the following items still need to be transported daily to and from school:
- K-2 - iPads and chargers
- 3-5 - Laptops and chargers
Transportation
Bus pass information will be sent out prior to spring break via email. Pick up times will be the same, but the afternoon time on bus pass will be effective April 26. The current early dismissal time will be in effect until April 23.

Tech Tips for Grades K-2!
Important information for students in PreK – 2 who have an iPad!
Parents are asked to please update your child’s iPad when you see a red badge on the Settings app indicating an update is available or if you receive a message on iPad from IT asking you to do so. Typically this happens automatically, but we are seeing that it is not consistently successful and we are trying to determine the cause. This is especially important if you have a passcode set on iPad as this makes it challenging for us to install updates for users due to security restrictions built into the iPad. Apple has recently released several critical security updates so it is important to update devices as soon as possible. To update, please go to the Settings app, General, Software Update and download/install.
Tech Tips for Grades 3-5!
Important information for students in grades 3 – 5 who have a Dell laptop or Microsoft Surface Go device!
It is important to please try to remember to have your child RESTART (shutting down fully does not take the place of restarting) occasionally throughout the week. Technology frequently sends out important updates that periodically do not successfully install until the laptop is restarted (login to the laptop/device, on the bottom left corner click on the Windows logo, go to Power, and Restart). Once the restart has been completed, please log back in. If you are having problems with the laptop/device, please try restarting as a first step as this frequently will resolve many common problems.
