Post Spring Break - flexible virtual option
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we enter into spring break, I know many families are making getaway plans. After a long year of being pent up and so many restrictions on gatherings, I can understand why you might want to get out of town.
When your family returns, we will be offering students an opportunity to ease back into school with a virtual option on April 7, 8, and 9. This will give your child(ren) an opportunity to stick close to home to make sure everyone is feeling OK and did not bring back any unwanted guests. We are also offering parents and students an opportunity to get a COVID test on Saturday, April 10 in the Erin School parking lot by Dr. Sanders. More information on optional testing procedures will be emailed to families on Wednesday, April 7th. It will most likely be a Sign Up Genius link where families can arrange for testing directly with Dr. Sanders. It is our hope the results will be back by Monday, April 12 but even if they are not, students can return unless they have COVID symptoms.
We are not restricting anyone to return face to face due to travel but asking families to help us keep school fully operational and avoid future quarantines. If you feel you might have come in contact with someone over spring break, please consider having your child(ren) take advantage of the virtual learning for the three days and be tested on Saturday.
Starting Monday, April 12, we plan to resume business as usual. Virtual learning will only be an option for those who have committed to it prior or those with Covid related concerns. Also, please know we are going to be starting the FORWARD testing for grades 3-8. If your child(ren) is ill, please do not send them to school just because we are testing. We will figure out a date when they can make the test up.
On Monday, April 26, we are once again offering parents an opportunity to choose virtual learning for the last part of the year. Please let the school know if this is an option you are choosing by Monday, April 19th so the classroom teacher and school can prepare for the virtual instruction.
It is hard to believe that we were able to get through this school year without having to close but with the help of students, families, and teachers, we made it. When we started school, I told the teachers they had 10 school days until the school was once again virtual. I am so happy to be proven wrong. Thank you all for your hard work on keeping the Erin family healthy during these times. Please remember to be smart about mitigating the virus and we will all be just fine.

PTC News
In years past, we have been honored to have many of our local businesses donate to our silent auction to help us raise money for our school. These businesses have been extremely important to us and we are very grateful to have them as community partners.
Now it is our turn to help those businesses out and return the favor. Each week we will send a shout out to different local businesses who have supported us in the past. It is our turn to support them. Stop in by them, buy lunch, a gift card, purchase something, say thank you, etc.
We all need each other. Together we are stronger.
Thank you local businesses for your support. You are important to Erin School!
