Dell Recruiting for Job + Development Program
Dell Recruitment Information Session
Representatives from Dell will conduct an information session about their FT Job + Development Program for May 2015 graduates. This entry-level job program is designed for recent college graduates and is a permanent, salaried, position at Dell in Round Rock, TX.
This is a 12 month Development Program. During the 12 months (in addition to their full time job) new hires selected for this opportunity will be exposed to Dell Executive speakers from different departments of the company, Networking, Team Building/Community Involvement.
The Dell Information Session event will be held Tuesday, January 27 in Carter Auditorium (1st floor of the John Brooks Williams South Building) at 5:30 p.m. All students and alumni are welcome to attend. Please contact Career and Professional Development for additional information.
Make a Difference in the World- Join the Peace Corps!
Nick Leichliter, Regional Recruiter from the Peace Corps will conduct an information session on Thursday, January 29 at 5 p.m. in the John Brooks Williams Natural Science Center South Building Conference Room 180. This is a great opportunity to learn about post-graduate volunteer opportunities, the process for applying and the different application deadlines. Five Austin area nonprofit organizations will participate in Meet the AmeriCorps Night on Monday, February 2, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Mabee Ballrooms. All 5 organizations will be hiring for both part-time and full-time positions. More details on the positions available are below. Please note the schedule for this event:
- 5 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Check-In
- 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Brief panel discussion with all 5 organizations about their respective missions
- 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Students will rotate in small groups for 15 minutes with each organization.

The STARS program provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to gain experience in a research laboratory under the supervision of faculty and senior graduate students. Participants will receive a stipend of $3,000 for the full 10 weeks. Participants are selected in open competition and must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Junior standing the upcoming fall semester
- 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- Major in the life sciences (biology, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, etc.)
- Intention of pursuing a Ph.D. after graduation
Deadline to apply is March 20, 2015.
The Congressional Internship Program provides college students with a paid work placement in a Congressional Office or Federal Agency for a period of twelve weeks (Spring/Fall) or eight weeks (Summer). This unmatched experience allows students to learn first hand about our nation's legislative process.
Promising Latino undergraduates from across the country are selected for this leadership training program. Students gain work experience, participate in a community service project, and receive educational and professional programming provided by CHCI. This comprehensive three-prong approach provides extraordinary learning and networking opportunities for students.
