Friday Focus
Kid, You'll Move Mountains!
Today is a good day!
There are many reasons that today is a good day. I am thankful that we have a building full of students, even if they are a little noisy in the morning.
- It is Friday, the forecast is gorgeous!
- We have the opportunity to have a positive impact on kids here at the Middle School!
- Spring is closer today than it was yesterday!
- You will learn something today!
Have a great Friday!
Problem Solving Skills
As part of the Problem Solving Unit, Mrs. Jones's students work to write their team name with this contraption. Walk down by the gyms and see how successful they were at this! And, if you have time, stop in and watch the kids work through a variety of problems as a team.
Fun with Language in ELA
Ms. Meyer's students post their Play on Words outside her door. If you live in the Corn Palace City, embrace it!
Hallmark Cards
Perhaps we could start a side business writing punny Hallmark cards! Thanks for making the halls a hoot to walk down.
Learning About the Great Wall
Students in 6th grade are learning about Ancient China. An extension activity was to build a model of the Great Wall; the time and effort some students put into it is a glimpse of their creativity and artistic ability! Check them out in the library!
Speaking of the Library
Did you know that today is Dr. Seuss's birthday? It's a great day to remind kids of the joys of reading! Stop by the library and see what Mr. C has in store for kids today. Only a true librarian would share a birthday with Dr. Seuss, so be sure to with Mr. C a cat-tastic birthday!
