Happy Labor Day
A few car rider reminders...
- Car Rider Rules:
1. You must have your car rider tag for curbside service. If not, you may park and go inside with your ID. Your child will be released to you AFTER the car rider line is done.
2. For student safety, please drive carefully, adhere to all traffic rules such as no cell phone use in the school zone, and do NOT pass other cars or speed in the parking lot.
3. To keep our car rider line moving at a swift pace, you must pull out of the line into a parking spot to strap your child into their car seat if necessary.
4. For everyone’s safety, you may not get out of your car to load your child or strap them in while in the carpool lane. Your child must be able to load from the passenger side on their own, or you may park and walk to the office to get your child after the car rider line is done.
5. For our teacher and student safety, no pets are allowed in the car rider line. If there is an animal in your car, please park to walk in and get your child.
Thank you all for your cooperation!

Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is back this fall! Girls on the Run is an after-school program designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength. Lessons emphasize the important connection between physical and emotional health. Through safety modifications and virtual programming, dedicated and trained staff are ready to adapt to local community needs. At the end of the program, girls complete a 5K, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment, setting a confident and goal-oriented mindset into motion.

Student Bus Routing Information
Student routing information will be available on 08/12/2021 via Smart Tag. The Parent Portal will display Student route information. The parent portal is accessible via https://www.lcisd.org/students-parents/. Please log into the Parent Portal, click Profile, click View Assigned Routes.
Message from LCISD Transportation Department
Comeback routes are not desired but sometimes unavoidable due to driver shortage and increase ridership numbers. Right now, the district is short 30+ drivers so if you know anyone who would like a job in transportation then please send them to lcisd.org.
PK and Kinder parents, be sure to sign in to the Smart Tag parent portal to list the people that may pick your student up from the bus stop. We will use blue cards as a back up the first two weeks of school to enable a smooth transition.
