MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
It was a rough week for me! It takes me two to three days to process a Browns loss and I was absent from school since TUESDAY due to illness . In my absence, Ms. Paroubek, and the CMS staff have been diligently overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for our students. I DO NOT do well be being sick or being absent from school. I look forward to returning next week and making up for lost time away from CMS. My apologies if you have tried to contact me, I have trying to keep up with my email when I have the energy.
MAP TESTING
EXCELLENT work from our students this past week as we completed the reading and math portion of the MAP assessment. Despite having an adjusted schedule and taking two tests, our students rose to the occasion and put forth their best effort. We will begin MAP makeup testing next week and the Student Progress report will be sent home after winter break.
5th GRADE BAND CONCERT
Although I was not in attendance, I received nothing but positive feedback from the 5th grade band concert. In just four months of learning to play their instruments, our students showcased their dedication, enthusiasm, and remarkable progress. The success of this concert is not only a reflection of our students' hard work but also a testament to the positive and supportive learning environment fostered by our dedicated teachers, Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Allen. If you were unable to attend the performance, we were fortunate to have G-TV record the concert and make it available on their website linked below.
8 DAYS LEFT IN THE 2nd QUARTER
Please take a few moments this weekend to sit down with your child(ren) and review their grades and progress. Encourage them to complete any missing assignments or re-takes that are still available to improve their grades. If they are struggling with an assignment, remind them to attend a working lunch to receive additional support. Most importantly, encourage them to FINISH STRONG!
GO BROWNS! I need a positive ending to my dreadful week.
Mr. Tomco
