DHS Science Teacher, Shelly Hampe, wins an Environmental Science Education Kit!

Thank you "BRIT Green Revolution" for awarding one of our great science teachers, Mrs. Hampe, a Science Tool Kit with over $2,500 worth of wonderful science curriculum!! She entered a raffle while attending the CAST (Conference for the Association of Science Teachers) and WON!!

Our Human Resources Department trained 22 new substitute teachers on Tuesday, February 2!

They will be available to add new substitute teachers to our list of available substitutes in coming weeks!

State Board of Education representative, Pat Hardy, would like to invite our staff to join her along with other SBOE members, to attend a community conversation on The Next

Generation of Assessments and Accountability. The community dialogue will include parents, business leaders, educators, and students. The information gathered will be shared with the recently appointed state committee called The Next Generation of Assessments and Accountability.

Each month, Mr. Townsend meets with a select group of our 8th, 11th and 12th grade students to hear directly from them. He shares with them about many events happening within our district and they share about their 'day in the life of a student.'
