COLLIER ADULT EDUCATION
Tuesday, March 26th, 2019
Message from the Leadership Team.
To replace the void in Secretary to the Assistant Director of Adult Education we now have Libney Aguilar who has been with Adult Education for about 1 year as proctor. Her knowledge of testing, data entry and her overall understanding of the challenges that exist between our day, afternoon and evening programs at multiple sites make her an ideal fit as she brings a new set of eyes.
I ask that everyone take a moment to welcome Libney into her new role and note that she will be your point person for securing instructional coverage when the need arrises. The extension will remain the same as 377-1319 but Libney Aguilar's email is aguill@collierschools.com. Please take a moment to shoot her an email, save it into your contacts for future need.
Way to Go!

Kudos
*Cheree for organizing a field trip to the Rookery Bay for our Elcate Academy students.
*Zeinab S. and Veronika for always handing in their Lesson Plans.
*Shoshanna for incorporating movement and speaking in her class daily. The use of 1-2 minutes to find a partner and talk is a great learning strategy.
*ALL the teachers for their hard work in teaching our students who are at different levels of English in their classes!

Thank you for all of you that attended our Professional Development last Wednesday.
One thing we discussed was using graphic organizers!
Graphic Organizers are a great resource to use with your students to classify ideas, help in problem solving, decision making, research, brainstorming etc. to meet the Learning and Thinking standards. Here is a link that will bring you to many graphic organizers for you to download. (also found on the google shared drive)
