Confucianism is a way of showing how dukes and princesses should govern wisely. If they lived a certain way, so will the people. Confuicius also taught that people should participate in society. Basically Confucius taught that government should lead by example ."Stable societies are built on Proper Behavior. "Proper behavior meaning showing respect. There are five types of relationships that show respect. Including Respect to your elders and beliefs. Father to Son, Edler Brother to Younger Brother, Husband to Wife, Ruler to Subject, Friend to Friend, This is also known as Filial Piety. "Do not do to others what you do not wish yourself." Is the Golden Rule. All of Confucius's sayings are written in The Analects. Confucius never wrote down his teachings. His followers wrote all of his teachings in a collection books, known as The Analects. Confuicius taught that education is important. Because Confuicius devolped an exam system for government officials to prove that they knew what was what. All of this went down during the HAN Dynasty.
Legalism
Legalism. The complete opposite way of leading compared to Confucianism. The philosopher of this terrible way of leading is Hanfeizi. Confucianism say that the nature of man is good. Hanfeizi says not. He beliefs that the nature of man is Evil, Goodness is acquired. He believed that the only way to achieve order in his kingdom was to make up strict laws and harsh punishments. Because he believed that Greed is the motive and causes of conflict. To rid of greed there were very strict rules against it. He also forced people to work on public projects and punished them if they did not complete their duties.
Taosim/Daoism
Tao meaning "The Way". The way of what? The way the universe works. Philosopher.... Mister Laozi. Who believes the best government is the one who is governed least. He says the only way for individuals to attain happiness is by practicing in Alchemy and magic. To live a simple simple life, and live in harmony with nature. Harmony comes from balancing opposite forces of Ying and Yang. To reject conflict; they prefer to give way-to yield like water.
