French Fairy Tales?
Yes. French 2, has been studying the passé composé and the imparfait, two of the most common past tenses in French. Students started the unit by reading Le Petit Chaperon Rouge, a fairy tale with which the students are familiar ( Little Red Riding Hood) , and they continued the unit by studying the structure and elements of a fairy tale. To end the unit, the students created their own fairy tales or wrote their own versions of a current fairy tale. They then presented them as a comic strip or illustrated book to their classmates.
Putting Domestic Tasks to Fun Use!
The Functional Skills class has been hard at work learning important domestic tasks. This month, the students planned and executed a BBQ with the Tustin Adult Transition Program at Heritage Park. FHS students planned, budgeted, shopped, and cooked in preparation for the day of sports, food and fun.
On another note, our Special Ed co-chairs were able to go to the CEC 2017 Special Education Convention and Expo in Boston, MA thanks to our FHS Ed Fund. They were able to attain valuable information that will help our Foothill students with special needs be more successful with their education at FHS and after graduating.

KIP
Knights in Progress Students work alongside of Mr. Wager’s special day class students making cookies at lunchtime. Knights in Progress mentor Isabel Veeris organized the activities and frequently volunteers with Mr. Wager’s lunch club. The two groups of students had a great time and plans were made to continue the partnership next year.
