Building Pathways To Success
From The Principal's Desk
Greetings! Thanks for another awesome week!
Happy Mother's Day WCES Moms!
We are in the home stretch! Thanks for your support of our 1st Annual Reading Carnival. Students, staff and guests had a wonderful day of celebrating reading. "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go." — Dr. Seuss Hats off to Dr. Huff and her fabulous TEAM!
We had over 220 moms to come out and support our 1st Annual Muffins for Moms & Sons activity. Our boys were very excited to take a few minutes to share their day with their moms. Thanks so much for your support! We hope you enjoyed your visit. A special thanks to Ms. Searcy and her wonderful TEAM!
This week we will recognize our students for their academic growth and achievement this year. They have worked hard and we know you; our parents, and our teachers have played a vital part. Thank you for working with our children to ensure they do their very best every day. The many days and nights of reading, completing homework assignments, attending parent conferences, executing small group instruction, hosting data talks and the list goes on... have paved the way to their success. See the dates for the various awards day ceremonies below. We hope to see you there.
We are also excited to be celebrating our first exiting 5th grade class! They rocked! Hats off to our 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Hammonds, Mrs. Howard, Mrs. Delaney, and Ms. Peele for a great year. Our 5th graders have several activities over the next 2 weeks to celebrate them and their success.
We have a busy month ahead of us. You don't want to miss it! . Again, mark your calendars. We hope to see you at the various events.
Thanks for your continued support.

They will ask some of the same questions but both will support us in planning for next year on both levels. Please take a moment and complete the surveys.
Here's the link to the form "Wolf Creek Elementary School Title I Parental Involvement Survey 2016-2017":

Safety First!
Thanks for your support! Thanks for working with us to ensure safety for the students.
Please help us by using the car rider loop in the front of the building for all student drop-offs in the mornings. The car rider loop moves fast but it does require some wait time and patience. This is the safest area for student drop offs. We have assigned staff to support students as they get out of cars. The bus ramp in the back is reserved for buses only. If parents are using the parking lot near the bus ramp area for parking, they are asked to park their vehicles and escort their child into the building. We have seen a rise in the number of students being dropped off and running across the bus ramp to enter the building. This is a safety concern. Remember, the doors open at 7:10 AM for student arrival. All parents are asked to sign in at the front office before moving through the building. Thanks in advance for your support. If we have parents that can volunteer in the bus ramp area, please let us know. We could use the extra hands and eyes to ensure safety for the students.
Thanks for your support
