RPI Pulse Newsletter- First Week!
August 27, 2021
A note from the principal's desk...
Some might think I messed up by putting a picture of students in caps and gowns in this newsletter, but as I sit here just before the start of another school year, I can't help but think about one of the coolest events we do as a system: graduation. A culminating event of years of hard work, success, struggles, growing and learning. The greatest part of that is that it starts here at RPI. This is the FIRST TIME that all three elementary schools come together to form their graduating class, the classes of 2028 and 2029!
Here's to a great school year and the start of what will be a special time in your child's life!
There is a lot of important week one information (most of it is repeated from last week) below so please make sure review before we start!
A few things:
Masks
- As you know from Mr. Edwards email earlier, they are temporarily required K-6 grade.
- Required (By Federal Law) on school buses.
Please reach out should you have any questions!
Have a great weekend!
Your in Rocket Pride,
Scott Panozzo, Principal

Soft Start Plan:
We will run our soft start much the same as the middle school and high school.
Monday (8/30/21): Last Names A-K
Tuesday (8/31/21): Last Names L-Z
Wednesday (9/1/21): All students report
Thursday (9/2/21): All students report
Friday (9/3/21): No School
Monday (9/6/21): No School
Drop Off/Pick-Up Area
- Students need to be dropped off in the Getty Street Parking Lot.
- Students need to exit the vehicle on the passenger side ONLY when the car is located near a side walk.
- DO NOT drop your student off and ask them to walk in front of another car. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
The start and end of the day are likely going to be congested and some people may be less than patient. Please treat each other with grace, patience and understanding. If we all do this, OUR KIDS will remain safe and see a great example of how to react during stressful times.
Drop Off/Pick-Up Area Video
I copied this video out of last year's newsletter only because my beard has quite a bit more gray in it now. Same information for this year!
