Update from the Superintendent
April 21, 2020
Distance Learning Underway
Good afternoon, Otsego families,
In our morning call with the health department and local superintendents, the health department reported 42 positive cases of COVID-19. In my update last week the county had a total of 23 positive cases. They are releasing this information daily on their Facebook page.
Our Continuity of Learning Plan started yesterday for those students in grades 3-12 with internet access. We hope the start to our next six-weeks of learning was a positive one for you and your child. Any time you have questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher and/or building administrator. For those students in grades K-2 along with those students in grades 3-12 who don’t have internet access your instructional packets are being mailed this week. Please be expecting them in your mailbox on Friday or early next week.
As we continue to move through these unprecedented times, please know that we have added another component to our learning plan with social and emotional support. We are here to help you and your child, so please reach out to your child’s teacher if any support is needed.
I will continue to provide these updates on Tuesday afternoons as we move forward. All new information will be located on our COVID-19 Closure webpage, which also has a new Frequently Asked Questions section to answer some common questions.
We can’t thank you enough for your partnership in our Continuity of Learning Plan along with your support.
