What is the Purpose of PCHS?
I have the opportunity to talk with many new families throughout the year. Often times the conversation funnels down to a simple question - What is Platte County High School’s Mission? My response is just as simple - We exist to help prepare your student for a college or career path in a safe and caring environment.
Homecoming week is always a great opportunity to celebrate what it means to be a pirate. The relationship between our community and PCHS is strong and we could not fully prepare all our students for their future without our parents and the community. PCHS is working to make sure that we create a great learning community that helps each student achieve their post-high school goals.
Thank you in advance for your help and support to allow PCHS to achieve our mission!
-Dr. Chad Sayre, PCHS Principal

JOSTENS ORDER DAYS:
Please make sure you bring your Josten's deposit.
A+ Information
There are several opportunities after school for students to begin fulfilling or completing their 50 hours of peer helping. This is an excellent way for 10th-12th grade students to work with younger students during Chess Club, Lego Club, or Drama Club. Signs are posted throughout PCHS about the location, dates, and times. Students need to set this experience up through me.
We will be sending an email with the current information about your student's progress on meeting A+ requirements. Be looking for this email before October 13th.
Please feel free to contact me by email or phone anytime you have questions.

Picture Day
If you have not had your picture taken yet, this includes any NEW STUDENTS, or would like a retake, this is the day to do it.
Even if you are not purchasing pictures, we need students to have their picture taken.
Order envelopes are available in both the Main office and Paxton Center office for any student or family wanting to purchase pictures.
Bullying and Safety Concerns
Safety is one of our district’s top priorities and to help safeguard our school community, our district is now using SafeSchools Alert, a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to our administration.
You and your child can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, or any safety issue you're concerned about through SafeSchools Alert.
Every tip SafeSchools Alert receives about our district is immediately logged in the system and our administration is notified so that they can investigate and take appropriate action. And, tips may also be submitted anonymously if you prefer.
Together, using SafeSchools Alert, we can make our district a safer place to learn!
