STANWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
FAMILY UPDATE FOR WEEK OF MAY 29th, 2023
SHS VISION STATEMENT
Stanwood Spartans are united in cultivating character, modeling respect, teaching leadership and connecting to community.

may 29th no school

We hope you get time to be with family and friends this weekend. We will not have school on Monday, May 29th, due to Memorial Day.
The school year is winding now. Please check in with your child regarding their missing work. All work needs to be submitted before June 20th, the last day of the school year.
Staff are available before and after school if students need support on their work.
WELCOME MOLLY!

Please let us introduce our newest employee at Stanwood High School — Molly!
Glacier Peak Labradoodles donated this 10-week-old golden labradoodle puppy, and, thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Stillaguamish Tribe, Molly will get training over the next several months to become an official therapy dog at SHS.
According to recent studies by the National Institute of Health and Frontiers in Veterinary Science, trained therapy dogs in schools help foster engagement in learning activities, promote positive attitudes toward learning, reduce negative behaviors, and encourage positive social behaviors.
Molly will work with our students in the counseling office and in our Animal Science program — as well as be out and about spreading cheer!
