Message About Laptops
Rock Bridge Families,
It is critical that every RBHS student has their laptop ready for the start of the school year. Below is information to help you ensure you are ready for this year.
Laptop and Charger
It is CRITICAL that students attending school in person arrive to school everyday with their laptop 100% charged. Students will be accessing Schoology for almost every single class in-person, so starting the day with a full charge is necessary. We are also asking that every student bring their laptop charger with them to school every day. Please mark your laptop charger in a manner that is not destructive so you can distinguish it from other chargers.
Freshman Laptop Distribution Update
Freshman laptops will be distributed at RBHS on Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 9am-12pm and 4pm-7pm. The laptops will be distributed outdoors from the Stadium Pavilion on the south side of RBHS. Freshman families should still park in the south lot and proceed toward the stadium, where you will return your ipad and check out a laptop. You will need to be sure to log into your laptop 2 times before you leave Rock Bridge or you will not be able to log in at home. Please remember to bring:
- The login and password you used last year
- Your Ipad
- Your charging cord and brick
- Your laptop case and keyboard (separate your ipad from its case and keyboard for faster service, please)
Laptop Repair/ Exchange Update for Upperclassmen
Laptop Repair and Exchange for tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 2, Thursday, Sept. 3, and Friday, Sept. 4 from 12:30 -3:30. Please come to the North Commons with your broken or malfunctioning laptop and/or charger. We will exchange your broken laptop for a different laptop. For this reason, you need to remove any items saved on the laptop desktop, “My Documents” or “My Downloads” before you come to Rock Bridge. You can copy your files onto a jump drive or move your files to your Google Drive. Before you come to Rock Bridge, please attach a note to your laptop describing what is wrong with it. Taking care of these steps will make this a quick exchange.
Materials Return for Upperclassmen
If you have books, textbooks, calculators or other Media Center materials to return, you may bring them to Rock Bridge on Sept. 2, 3 or 4 from 12:30 – 3:30 PM and drop them in the materials return bin stationed in the North Commons.
Update: Rock Bridge Football August 28
Bruin Nation,
Friday Night Football is back…well, sort of. Our own Rock Bridge Bruins host Staley HS Friday night at 7pm. We know how much our Bruin Fans get excited about our football team but the game is not open to the general public. In order to comply with COVID guidelines, attendance is limited to those receiving a Player Card permitting the bearer to gain admission to the game—typically family of the student athletes. Players will receive “Player Cards” that will be used throughout the season to control attendance.
For those who do not receive Player Cards, please support Bruin Football by watching along on KMIZ TV (streaming at www.abc17news.com or listening along on KRFU 1400am).
Please respect the decision to limit attendance. We are excited for our athletes to be able to compete!
