We Are Enough
I Am Enough by Grace Byers lets us each know that we are enough just as we are. We all exist to be who we were meant to be. We celebrate each of our students and who they each are. We had every student write who they are on a hand and have displayed it in our glass case. Teacher wrote the CDL students' comments on a hand and have included them as part of the school. It's amazing reading all the positive and insightful things kids have to say about themselves.
"I am here to be brave."
"I am here to be silly."
"I am myself."
"I am a daughter, cousin and pizza lover."
"I am here to help my mom."
"I am a leader."
Let us continue to love one another, care for each other and accept each other as we are because we are enough!

Dear Hazeldale Parents and Guardians,
It’s data collection time again for Beaverton’s Safe Routes to School program. The purpose of this program is to make walking and biking to school safe, convenient, and fun.
Parent’s and guardian’s input into how students travel to and from schools and their impression of the safety of the route is valuable as the city and county prioritize needed improvements for our roads. The following link was generated from the National Safe Routes to School Center and will be used to give us a good picture of how students are getting to and from schools throughout the district.
The school’s survey will be open for responses until May 31.
We appreciate your help in giving us information to make our program effective for all Beaverton School District students.
Beaverton Safe Routes to School Coordinator

HOPE Hazeldale Meetings
Read here to learn more about what HOPE means from our PTO.
Your Hazeldale PTO Team has been working hard this year providing teacher funding for: classrooms, special grants, teacher appreciation, and trying to keep our amazing community connected and engaged amidst the pandemic. We miss being able to do big events for our entire school, but we are so hopeful for next year!
The PTO Team has been attempting to find ways to better engage more parents- we know the term “PTO” can be off-putting for many and have decided to change our name to H.O.P.E- Hazeldale-Opportunities (for) Parents & Educators. We HOPE this will help encourage more to attend our Community Meetings (we have also changed the wording from PTO Meeting to Community Meeting). Please check out our updated website. We regularly have guest speakers to our meetings as well. In March, Mr. Culbert spoke to us about Social and Emotional Learning, specifically Self Awareness and Regulation Strategies.
He is returning to our Community Meeting on May 10th at 7pm to discuss Social and Emotional Learning: Integration at Home While Supporting Your Student Over the Summer! We HOPE you can join us- Zoom
