Lunch With the Principal

It's back! If your students have earned lunch with me, please fill in the appropriate form below.

Congratulations Mr. Casey!

We'd like to welcome Mr. Casey's new baby, Hailey, to the world. Can't wait to meet our little future Eagle!

Letters of Intent - VERY IMPORTANT

Some of you were able to hand out Letters of Intent on Friday. For those who did not receive them in time or who did not get to hand them out, please make sure to send them home on Monday. Please remember to collect them each morning and send them to the office. First class to get all the letters turned in gets FREE DRESS!

Supporting All of Our Students

Thank you to all for making sure that all of our students are receiving the support that they need to succeed. Both classroom teachers and resource teachers have been doing a great job ensuring that our students with special needs are being supported. In an effort to make sure that everyone is on the same page so that we continue to build a strong team, we have created a quick snapshot of the expectations so our success can continue to improve throughout the year.

PROGRESS REPORTS/REPORT CARDS

Thank you to everyone for your hard work in getting these squared away. You were all wonderfully positive and we appreciate you're great attitudes even when faced with frustration. Please remember that with these changes, that grades are due next week for trimester 1 (ES) and semester 1 (MS). We will send out ES Progress Reports and S1 Report Cards on Friday, December 18. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Winter Performance - TK-5 - Dec. 18 - 11:00 - 3-8 Campus

As you know, our show will be at the 3-8 campus and the TK-2 students will be traveling by foot. Since we will not be able to have an official dress rehearsal, if you could get with your grade level, line your students up by height and practice the songs as a group a few times before the big day, that should help things run more smoothly on Dec. 18. You should also be receiving the song list and lyrics very soon from Mrs. Ricks.

Trait of the Month - Curiosity

  1. It makes your mind active instead of passive
Curious people always ask questions and search for answers in their minds. Their minds are always active.
  2. It makes your mind observant of new ideas
When you are curious about something, your mind expects and anticipates new ideas related to it.
  3. It opens up new worlds and possibilities
By being curious you will be able to see new worlds and possibilities which are normally not visible.
  4. It brings excitement into your life
There are always new things that attract their attention. Instead of being bored, curious people have an adventurous life.

Instructional Focus

We wanted to let you know that in the next few weeks, we will be conducting Informal Observations. Please take an opportunity to review your PLP on Teachboost and let us know if there's any more specific support you need to achieve your goals at this time.

Supervision Reminder

We are still looking for extra help on the yard (major shout-out to those of you who have already volunteered!) A few reminders for when you're on watch:

  • Be super VISIBLE (walk around, stay standing, avoid being hidden by students coming to speak to you)
  • Be super VIGILANT (really look around, walk over to groups of students that are huddled in the far corners of the yard, walk past the bathrooms several times, and please no cell phone use during supervision).
