We Are... Wildcats
November 2nd, 2020
A Message From Mr. Bezeau...
We made it to November! I am so proud of our whole community and all that we have accomplished together up to this point. Operating School during COVID has created many new challenges but our staff, students, and families have been phenomenal throughout all of this. This upcoming month we are focusing on Gratitude as our student focus character trait. Our goal is to help students see the positive moments that happen every day. Please take a moment with your child(ren) each day to acknowledge some of the items that each of you are grateful for. Sharing gratitudes could be for something small or something big. Here are some potential examples:
- I am grateful that the sun is out today.
- I am grateful that my friend smiled and said hi to me.
- I am grateful that someone made me dinner.
- I am grateful for my friend helping me when I was stuck.
- I am grateful for my teacher always being so happy.
Many studies show that when we dedicate time each day acknowledging items we are grateful for that it helps with our happiness level. We truly appreciate any support from home to help our kiddos learn more about this important character trait.
Please know if you need anything, you can always reach out to me. Go Wildcats!

Letter from Superintendent Conway
Superintendent Conway sent out an informative letter last Friday regarding the latest information from the Wayne County Health Department. If you have not had a chance to read this information, please take a moment to do so.
Here is some important information from her letter.
As numbers continue to increase across the state and within the county, I want to remind everyone that we have remote learning Wednesdays every week to practice for a situation where a building or buildings may have to go remote for a period of time. Please make sure that you are ready for this possibility and know login information for your parent Schoology account and that you are preparing your student for this as well. Creating a plan for remote learning at home will help for an easier transition if this was to occur. As a reminder, remoting learning this year will look much different than last spring. All assignments, quizzes, and scores count and students are required to attend live sessions and participate fully in remote learning. If remote learning was to occur, information will be provided by your child’s principal and teacher(s) on the format for each day of remote learning. Setting expectations with your child now is a proactive step that will make for a successful remote learning experience.
