BELL SCHEDULE SURVEY - TIME SENSITIVE
The school district is gathering feedback on proposed changes in start and end times for next school year. If you would like to give your feedback, please complete this short survey by Monday, November 20. Our current schedule is not an option on the form, but if you want to express the desire to keep our current bell schedule, 8:00-3:04, please enter that in the comments section at the bottom. Please be specific about reasons why you vote the way you do. This may be the only opportunity for you to express your wishes to the school district before a decision is made for us.
PAJAMA DAY - DECEMBER 1, 2023
Dear Family and Friends,
Our school is hosting a Pajama Day to help the kids at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)!
Why We Participate
The time for innovation and breakthroughs is now. CHOP is on the cusp of life-changing discoveries for children. They are transforming the well-being of children and creating healthier communities throughout Philadelphia and across the world. We are raising money because we want to help make today's innovative ideas, tomorrow's realities.
How You Can Help
- Students and staff are asked to make a small donation in order to wear pajamas on Friday, December 1.
- Families can consider supporting us by making a tax-deductible donation as we say YAY to Pajama Day. The grade that contributes the most across all of our drives will win a prize! If you want to give credit to a class, please add that in the message box (ex: on behalf of the 10th grade class).
- Please share our link on your social media outlets and ask your networks to make a small donation. https://chop.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.personalCampaign&participantID=140755

Help a Palumbo Family in Need - GoFundMe closes December 1
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the GoFundMe in support of a family who has children at Academy at Palumbo and George W. Nebinger School and whose mother is a Palumbo staff member. They recently experienced a tragic house fire that has left them not only without a roof over their heads, but also without most of their cherished belongings.
The GoFundMe is closing December 1, and we are doing a final push to meet the $5000 donation goal. We are currently at $3905. The family needs our support so they can rebuild their lives and get back on their feet. If you haven't donated yet, please consider making a contribution through this GoFundMe link. Any amount is appreciated, and please share this link with your friends.
Launch of The Griffin Fund - November 28
The HSA is excited to announce the upcoming launch of The Griffin Fund - an annual fund that will support Palumbo's Athletics this year. More information will be unveiled on November 28, which is National Day of Giving.
Palumbo Self-Care Stations - Accepting Donations
Throughout Palumbo, students have access to self-care stations where they can get snacks and self-care items. Help us fill these stations by checking out the Amazon Wish List which was provided by Ms. DiGiuseppe.

Important - Medical Forms need updating
There are two medical forms that need yearly updating for all students. If you have not already done so, please complete the medical information form and the med-1 form which allows our nurse to administer medication to students while in school.
If your student tests positive for Covid, the reporting form can be found here as well.
Please contact nurse Stevens at cstevens@philasd.org if you have questions.
