HR Message
I wanted to reach out to you to let you know that last night the Board approved to update Policy 7500: Workday. This policy previously stated that teachers and licensed support staff would report 20 minutes before the start of school. The update now reads that school administrators shall create duty schedules to cover the supervision of students at arrival and dismissal. Updates to our CHCCS handbook have also been made to reflect the change. I have attached the policy and included verbiage from the handbook (from page 27) below.
Certified Employees
Principals will create an equitable duty schedule for teachers, counselors, social workers, speech pathologists, nurses and others where the compensation is based on the teacher salary schedule. These staff members should report at a reasonable time will continue to work until professional responsibilities to students and the school are completed.
Have a wonderful and restful break! As always, please let me know if I can support you in any way!
Erika
