If you are interested in this performance opportunity, please plan on auditioning on Monday, June 6th at 7:25 AM in the band room. Extra credit will be given for students selected to perform!
BOC Field Trip Permission Slips Due!!!

Looking for a challenge, 6th and 7th graders?
Illinois Music Education Association (IMEA) Honor Concert Band/Jazz Band
IMEA is an honor concert band and jazz band that is made up of students from Cook County. Our region is notorious for having some of the strongest musicians in the state! Students must prepare music from a packet (students can see me for audition packets). If selected, students will have an all day rehearsal with a special guest conductor with a culminating concert that afternoon. Good news for our jazzers - most of our spring concert music is part of the audition!
All-Illinois Junior Band (AIJB)
AIJB is an honor band that encompasses the talents of students from across the state of Illinois. AIJB is in its second year and will be offering some unique experiences this year. In addition to rehearsals at the University of Illinois, students will be able to tour the Sousa Museum at the Harding Band Building! Students will also get to perform on the renown Krannert Performing Arts center. Auditions are completed via recording and requirements can be found HERE.
