Weekly News and Reminders for September 28-October 2nd 2020
HELLO
- Picture day for "B" students will be Tuesday, Sept. 29th
- Picture day for "A" students will be Thursday, October 8th
- Please remember to send a water bottle each day - the fountains are not in use
- School doors will open at 7:30 (students will not wait in the cafeteria this year)
- Please keep Chromebooks AT HOME for use on remote days. We will not use them at school. We will not be taking them back and forth.
- Please remember to send your child with a mask each day.
- You will be asked to sign your Attestation Form each day either on car line when you drop off or at bus pick up (this is the small card that that says your child does not have any Covid symptoms - we sent an example in your first packet)
- Temperatures will be taken at school as students arrive using a thermal scanner - anyone with a temperature over 100.4 will not be allowed to stay
- On Remote Days, your child WILL have assignments - they will be expected to work just like normal. We will NOT have live Zoom, but they will have assignments online in SeeSaw, paper/pencil work, and Dreambox, Raz-Kids, and LetterLand online. Attendance WILL be taken based on participation in these activities and completion of online assignments and paper/pencil work.

Morning News:
After viewing the morning announcements from Mrs. Spears and listening to Mrs. St. John read aloud a story on SeeSaw, please complete:Morning Check-In:
- Complete Daily Zones Activity in SeeSaw
ELA
- Go to Clever and click on RAZ KIDS. Go to 'Reading Room' and read a story on your level and answer the questions.
- Go to SeeSaw and complete the read aloud activity. (listen to the story and retell by drawing and recording)
Phonics:
- Work on Letterland unit 6 paper/pencil homework packet in Green take home folder. These need to be completed and turned in: "A" students on Friday/"B" students on Thursday
- Go to LetterLand online (through the teacher Clever page) and play a Phonics Game - you can also explore the LetterLanders. We will be working on E, Y, and LL this week.
- Read your words and sentences two times to a parent/adult. Then go onto SeeSaw and record yourself reading your words and sentences aloud to me,
Math:
- Work 20 minutes in Dreambox (go through Clever)
- Put your finished work back into your green folder take home folder and return it school every day

Go to Letterland through CLEVER and practice the LetterLanders using "Meet the LetterLanders" activity, then go to "Phonics Games"
Go to SeeSaw and work on LetterLand assignments: "Reading Review Sentence"

LetterLand homework assignments and your handwriting pages (paper copies) - these are due on Monday
Math:
- Go to DreamBox and complete two lessons.

"I CAN" Statements for the week 7
Reading/ELA: RI.1.2 Identify the main topic and retell key details of a text.
L.1.1, RF.1.2, RF.1.2d: I can print uppercase and lowercase letters. I can isolate and pronounce initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in spoken single-syllables words. Segment spoken single-syllable words into their complete sequence of individual sounds (phonemes)
Math:
1.OA.6 I can count on, count back or count all to solve addition and subtraction problems to 20 and can begin to add and subtract within 10 using multiple strategies.
Social Studies/Health:
