Planning for 2020-2021
The district is working with state and local officials to determine when and how school will resume. Right now the district is committed to the safe return of students and staff, so our priority is preparing our school campuses by purchasing and installing hands-free hand sanitizer dispensers, upgrading or installing hand-washing stations, and arranging furniture and spaces to allow for social distancing, such as putting plexiglass barriers in office areas.
To help us in our planning efforts, it is important to know what the enrollment will be to determine staffing, site and building needs, as well as curriculum.
During these times, we are planning for 3 possible scenarios:
- A traditional school return (this is ideal and what we as a staff hope for)
- Hybrid - Homeschool & On Site Learning
- Remote Learning
Thank you for your support and ongoing commitment to your child's learning.
Help us plan for the fall return
We need your assistance in projecting our student enrollment for Fall 2020. Please complete this short survey and let us know if your child will or will not be returning next Fall. Thank you!
Para poder hacer una proyección de nuestra población estudiantil para el otoño de 2020, necesitamos de su ayuda. Favor de llenar el cuestionario breve a continuación para hacernos saber si su hijo/a regresará el próximo ciclo escolar 2020-21.

Are you a MEHS Alumni? Or Interested in Adopting a MEHS Senior?
As you know, our senior class is missing out on some important milestones due to the stay at home order. Grad Night and Prom were cancelled (the venues cancelled with no chance at a reschedule), and the Senior Awards are going to be done on video. We are still holding out hope to be able to celebrate with a graduation, but what we are allowed to do and how that might look remains to be seen.
This is where the MEHS Alumni can come in. We are hoping that our MEHS Alumni will each Adopt a Senior! How this works is simple. Donate a care package...gift cards, snacks/treats, balloons, greeting cards, etc.
Also, write a quick note about your best memories of MEHS and how the school and the friendships forged there have positively impacted you. These care packages and notes would be assembled at the high school and delivered to students' homes.
We know at this time it could be difficult for some folks to donate and we respect that. But we have a strong network of alumni and 90 MEHS grads this year waiting to join us. This is a strong class, with students set to go to some great universities, joining all branches of the military, joining trade unions, and further their skills at community college. Collectively, they are one of the nicest groups of kids you'd ever meet.
If you would like to donate items, write a note, or help in any way with this (even if it is simply passing on this message), please contact me via email.
