We would like to introduce you to our new Eco Warriors. They are championing environmental awareness in our school. They have conducted an audit and selected three areas that they want to improve this term – Litter, Energy, and Marine. They will let the school know soon about the actions they are planning, and further information can be found in the noticeboard on the school playground.
FOSS Meeting - 10th May
There will be a virtual meeting of FOSS (our PTA – the Friends of Saxton School) on Monday 10th May at 7.30pm. Everybody is welcome to attend. We will discuss possible fundraising activities that could be planned this year. If you would like a link to the meeting, please contact Mrs Clubbs in the office.
Reception 2021
We are aware that some families of children due to start school next September may have missed the deadline for applications which has now passed. Currently, our Reception intake in September is not full, and so if you know someone who might have missed the application and needs a school place please encourage them to apply. Governors will consider late applications.
General Teaching Assistant Required (EYFS & KS1)
We are seeking to appoint a GTA at Saxton to join our fantastic small village school. The successful candidate will help to give our children the best possible start in their education and will lay firm foundations for the future.
A large proportion of the responsibilities will be working with children in EYFS. Candidates will demonstrate that they can contribute to a creative and high quality environment with inclusion at the heart of all learning, based on the effective principles and practice. Additional MSA lunchtime hours will also be available and some hours may be allocated as HLTA for suitably qualified applicants.

School Lunches
Next week we will be on Week 2 of the lunch menu below.
Please note the menu has been slightly changed for the rest of the Summer Term.
Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.
Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.
Each day there are 3 choices, either the hot dinner, the sandwich or the jacket potato with a choice of topping. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
