A Message from the Principal
I am very grateful for all of our students, teachers, parents and grandparents here at Holy Family Catholic School. We are a caring community and we have worked together diligently to create a healthy and safe school environment during the ongoing challenges of COVID, thank you for your partnership in this!
HFCS had a great Pot O’ Gold 75th Birthday Bash Pep Rally this morning at drop off- what an energizing way to start the day! Thank you to Mrs. Lisa Griffith and her creative talents for organizing this event! Thanks also go to Mrs. Sara Hiett and Mrs. Tracy Head for creating the POG Parent Packet that will be coming home with your child this afternoon. Now is the time to start selling those raffle tickets - Go Hornets!
We love our HFCS dads! Thank you so much for participating in our very first Drive-Thru Donuts with Dads!
Our students will be enjoying a Thanksgiving pizza lunch on Friday courtesy of our Home and School Association. Gobble, Gobble!
Thanksgiving is a treasured national and familial tradition for all of us. I ask that you continue your commitment to safety precautions during our school holiday. Please use common sense when celebrating Thanksgiving this year as the spread of the virus is not slowing down. Families who travel internationally during the Thanksgiving and/or Christmas break need to inform HFCS, and their students will be required to self-quarantine for two weeks before returning to school.
Thanksgiving Prayer
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything thy goodness sends.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
God bless you, and your families, this Thanksgiving.
In gratitude,
Ann Walters
Principal

You Say Its Your Birthday!
Did you hear? It is Holy Family Catholic School's 75th Birthday!
What a way to be welcomed to school on a Monday morning!
If you have not heard, POG will look a bit different this year. It will be a virtual event and will be live-streamed on Saturday, February 6, 2021. The gala will include silent and live auction items, which you will bid for on-line. Make plans now to invite a couple or two to your house for a birthday party watching party.
Parent Information Packets were sent home with your student today with details about Pot O'Gold's 75th Birthday Bash. Included in the packets are raffle tickets. Tickets are $5.00 each or $25.00 for a book of six tickets. If you would like additional books for your child to sell over the Thanksgiving holiday, please contact Lisa Griffith at lgriffith@hfcsfw.org. The goal for raffle ticket sales is $15,000.00.
We have assembled a Birthday Wish List of items to be donated for the silent and live auctions. If you have family or friends with items on the list, please make a personal ask for the item. Please know you are not limited to this list.
Watch the Hornet Herald for up-coming information. If you have questions, please contact Lisa Griffith.
HFCS Pays Respect to Our Veterans!
HFCS students gathered in the courtyard and parking lot this past Wednesday to honor the veterans of our country. Many thanks to Mrs. Walters, Ms. Bernal and the band students for a lovely ceremony honoring our vets!
If you missed the live streaming of HFCS's Veterans Day Ceremony, you are in luck! Watch it here...
