New Security Systems at SCSD2
We at Scott 2 take the safety of our students very seriously and are excited to announce the implementation of a new safety program, Raptor, which will provide an additional layer of security for students. Raptor will allow Scott 2 officials to cross check visitor’s identification against the sex offender registry along with a locally created database that will be developed in conjunction with our other background check protocols.
In order to effectively and efficiently use Raptor, Scott 2 will require each visitor to have a state or federal issued photo ID during school hours. This photo ID will be scanned and a visitor’s badge printed for you. Please be sure to bring your ID with you each time you visit your child’s school. Raptor began district-wide on Monday, September 28, 2015.
For those of you wishing to do more than just visit for a classroom activity or school program, Scott 2 will utilize additional layers of security and background checks. These may be found in a letter emailed by the Superintendent.
