A Message From The Principals
Sandy Bermea - Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you had a restful spring break. We are rounding the corner into the last six weeks of school. I hope to see more students in person as we start the sixth six weeks. This has definitely been a challenging year for our students, but Potranco students have shown resilience and continue to learn. Potranco has several awareness days scheduled in the month of April: Autism Awareness, Purple Up of Military Kids, Earth Day, and Child Abuse Awareness. The goal is for all students to participate.
We will continue to follow COVID protocol and procedures to finish the year. I appreciate you and your support to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Audrey White - Vice Principal
Hello All!
I can’t believe we are down to our last 2 months of the school year. This month we will be starting our state assessments, beginning with 4th grade writing on April 6th for all of our in-person students and April 13 for all of our remote students. If you have a student that is currently working remotely please fill out the survey that was sent out regarding state testing. This information is very important and useful for planning to receive our remote students that will be testing on campus.
Brenda Estrella-Pagan - Vice Principal
Dear Potranco Families,
I hope you enjoy this coming long weekend. With the recent time change and the mood swings of this Texas weather, I welcome the time off myself. My hope is that our students come back re-energized and ready to finish the year strong.
I know that on our end, our teachers and staff continue to go above and beyond to connect with their students whether it is in person or through remote learning. A solidified partnership amongst parents and school staff is the key to student success. As always, let us know how we can support you.

Christie Neuman - Campus Nurse
Hello all!
First, I would like to thank everyone from parents, staff, students, PTO, and my administration for assisting my family and me during a very difficult time. I have now witnessed firsthand the generosity of our wonderful community and for that, I am forever grateful. You all mean the world to me!!
Next, I just want to remind everyone that if a child is feeling sick or has symptoms such as fever (temp of 100 or greater), diarrhea, or vomiting they need to be kept home until free of symptoms for 24 hours without using medication.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to email me at christie.langley-neuman@mvisd.org or phone me at extension 2014. Thank you again. Have a wonderful day!!Snippits From Specialists
