HOUSE PAGE PROGRAM (FOR CURRENT 11th and 12th GRADERS)
This program offers young men and women the opportunity to learn about, and participate in, the legislative process of our state. It is a four day long experience that allows high school students to observe firsthand how our laws are made. It provides them the unique privilege of working in the House Chamber in the midst of legislative action.
House Pages are important to the operation of the General Assembly as they assist the Members and staff of the House during the legislative session. They participate in daily sessions, committee meetings, and perform other duties including, but not limited to, delivering messages and materials within the legislative complex, completing mailings for Members, and passing out documents or running errands in the House Chamber during daily sessions.

Help Your Students Make Career Connections
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that more than 10 million new jobs will be created in the next decade. Get your students ready with Advanced Placement® (AP®).
For too long, "college-ready" and "career-ready" coursework and experiences have been separated in our schools. AP and career and technical education courses can and should work in tandem to support career readiness by encouraging the development of the academic knowledge and technical skills that are, together, increasingly important to students' overall employability.
Did You Know?: Software development is the highest-paying job field with the most projected open positions (400,000) over the next decade. AP Computer Science Principles is a great way to explore or take a step toward this career. (Source: Insider)
- Use this resource to map career clusters to AP courses.
- Share this blog and this tool with your students to help them choose courses that explore career pathways or support their career goals.
- Check out the new Build Your AP Program for more themes to consider in designing your AP course offerings and to help students make course selections.
