Bilingual & ESL Department Newsletter - June & July

Kid President's Pep Talk to Teachers and Students!

Thank you!

I can't believe this school year is over. I hope you enjoyed the last days with your students amongst the excitement of all the end of year activities. Take the time to reflect on all of their growth and CELEBRATE their SUCCESS!

I am so excited to start a new year with a strong vision of where the work of our department is headed. We have made some great strides, but have a long way to go. Closing the achievement gap for ELLs is a monumental task, and it can only be done when we work to support each other and grow as a learning community. Thank you for partnering with us throughout the year!

In the words of The Kid President, "We are teaching the world how to be AWESOME!" Keep inspiring our students and we will change history!

Thank you for your patience as we work through glitches in the program. If you encounter anything that is not working email Amber Buie. A screen shot is always helpful when we try to convey the issue with the programer.

We will not be doing any summer input of student history data at this time. We are excited to announce that we will have an LPAC Clerk next year, once again. She/he will be helping to input any needed data in the fall.
