Oxygen is one of the most important gases. It is needed for any life on Earth. It was discovered by Joseph Priestley and Carl Scheele in 1774 in England and Sweden. The origin of the name comes from the Greek words "oxy genes" meaning "acid" (sharp) and "forming" (acid former).

Oxygen is used for
oxy-acetylene welding, frequently used to aid respiration of patients in hospitals, breathing, ozone (O3) in the atmosphere is protection against the sun's ultraviolet rays. And many other important things
