SHISD Mid-Week Message
Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD
Well Rounded
At the same time that event was going on, another group of students were at an area church involved in a Math camp, while the rest of the high school participated in a Day of Service where our students gave thanks to the community by serving them in a variety of service projects. It was a great day over all and one of the many reasons SHISD is a great place to work and attend school. Thank you to everyone who made the day special.

SABINE JR. HIGH CARDINAL RELAYS MEET RECAP 2017
The past two meets, junior high runners, jumpers, and throwers have practiced on techniques and learning their events. They made sure that this year, no school would forget Spring Hill Junior High. By watching them cheer, motivate, and help prepare each other as each race or field event occurred, Spring Hill proved to be a cut above.
Eighth grade girls began the day with the 2000 and 2400 meter run, earning medals in both divisions and a cluster of field event successes. It came down to the mile run and the 4x400 relay. SH was slightly behind longtime rival, White Oak. Tired and worn out from an already long day, the milers endured the four laps of pain, for a total of eleven points. The 4x400 team would leave it all on the track, to earn the last sixteen points, edging White Oak by a mere 1.5 points for the win! For seventh grade girls, each race was one step closer to the top. Despite not earning a team title, these young tracksters demonstrated the heart of the Lady Panthers till the very end. The girls ended the night with 18 total season best performances and 37 medals.
Eighth grade boys seized another chance to hold their reputation as a strong track team, winning most of the meets they have attended since 7th grade. Spring Hill nabbed the 1-3 spots for many races, and several field events. These boys have grasped what it takes to be one cut above every other team. The seventh grade boys followed their upper classmen by competing at their level as well. Together the boy’s teams achieved 48 individual medals, 12 first place finishes, and 47 season bests to end the evening.
Totaling out the evening, the 8th grade girls, 7th grade boys and 8th grade boys left as champions, achieving numerous season best performances and medals. The 7th grade girls took 4th place. SHJH track teams acquired a little more knowledge of what Spring Hill is doing and how they are going to keep pressing onward. The sky is the limit!
