Natural Resources
Russia and other countries have a lot of energy resources including natural gas and oil. Russia also has a very high amount of coal. These energy resources are nonrenewable fossil fuels. Russia also uses huge amounts of peat. Also, some rivers have hydroelectric power.
Siberian Lakes
Explorer Katey Anthony went to Siberia to be a student. What she saw was carbon turned into methane gas. Methane is a greenhouse gas. She also saw permafrost. Which is, permanently frozen ground.
Land of extreme climates
Climate may affect the types of vegetation that grows in different places. Flat land in the Arctic is called Tundra. This exists in Siberia. South of the tundra is the Taiga. It is a forested area.
